1. Certificate Expiration: Browsers immediately block access with NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID when current time exceeds NotAfter.
2. Hostname Mismatch: Encountered (ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID) if the requested domain is not listed in the Subject or SAN extension.
3. Incomplete Certificate Chain: The web server provides the leaf certificate but omits the Intermediate CA certificate, causing errors on mobile devices.

SSL/TLS Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Guidance

• Root CA Trust Store Compatibility: Legacy devices and older Android versions often lack modern root certificates like ISRG Root X1. Always serve intermediate cross-signatures where backward compatibility is needed.
• SNI (Server Name Indication) Verification: Multi-tenant web hosting and Cloudflare CDN proxies require SNI handshakes. If testing from legacy clients without SNI support, the server may serve the wrong default certificate.
